Basketball Recap: Bay Port Starts Season with Win Against Luxemburg-Casco

Bay Port took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 52-30 margin over the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Melia Lemorande was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 26 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Williams, who shot 47% from the field en route to 19 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Bay Port will venture away from home to take on Appleton East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Luxemburg-Casco, they will take on Valders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
