Darlington hadn't done well against Model recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Blue Devils. The Tigers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Blue Devils, so the Tigers were just returning the favor.

Darlington didn't let Model take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-23.

Darlington has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Model, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Darlington will head out to take on Pepperell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Model, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Coosa on the 9th.
