Basketball Recap: Devon Prep's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Devon Prep had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They strolled past the Berks Catholic Saints with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Winning may never get old, but the Tide sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Devon Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Thear, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Thear now owns an excellent 45.7% shooting accuracy. Calvin Smith was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 13 points.

Devon Prep's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Berks Catholic, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 25-7 record.
