Softball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Gets the Win

While Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's win against McAllen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Emma Escamilla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Raelyn Mancias, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
