North Moore is 0-4 against Southeast Alamance since December of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The North Moore Mustangs will face off against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00 p.m.
North Moore is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Chatham Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Moore came up short against Chatham Central, falling 55-29. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, North Moore had strong showings from Bailea Marley, who posted five points and five boards, and Calissa Clendenin, who put up eight points along with ten rebounds and three blocks. Clendenin has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance entered their tilt with Cummings on Friday with 11 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 12. They breezed past the Cavaliers to the tune of 73-5. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Moore better keep an eye on Shaniya Paylor. She was instrumental in Southeast Alamance's win, almost dropping a double-double with 20 points and nine steals. Inysia McIver was another key player, putting up ten points and six steals.
Southeast Alamance's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.5 points over those games. As for North Moore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Moore has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Southeast Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Moore took a serious blow against Southeast Alamance in their previous meeting on Wednesday, falling 82-23. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point North Moore was down 65-15.
