Lewis-Palmer came tearing into  Thursday's  matchup with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks by a score of  3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  on October 7th.
 Lewis-Palmer had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-17,  26-24.
Leading Lewis-Palmer to victory were  Olivia Ivall and  Ariana O'Connor.  Ivall  had six  digs and three  aces, while  O'Connor  had 22  digs and ten  kills. O'Connor has been hot, having  posted five or more  kills the last eight times she's  played.  Cady Knight was another key player,  getting 21  digs.
 They weren't the only good servers: Lewis-Palmer  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 12  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in September.
 Loss or not, Cheyenne Mountain got some senior leadership from  Brynn Ressler and  Sophia Evans.  Ressler  had 11  digs and six  assists, while  Evans  had eight  digs and seven assists.
Lewis-Palmer's record now sits at 12-7. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their defeat  ended  a  four-match streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 11-8.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis-Palmer will welcome Grandview  at 11:30  a.m.  on Friday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Longmont  at 11:30  a.m.
