Soccer Recap: South Vermillion Comes Up Short on the Road Against North Montgomery

South Vermillion kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers, falling 7-1. South Vermillion were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Montgomery apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

The victory was the third in a row for North Montgomery, bringing their record up to 3-0.

South Vermillion will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sullivan at 5:00 p.m. on September 4. As for North Montgomery, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-4 win against North Putnam on the 26th.
