Baseball Game Preview: Boone Braves vs. Colonial Grenadiers

Boone has gone 9-0-1 against Colonial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Braves will be playing at home against the Grenadiers at 6:00 p.m. Neither Boone nor Colonial posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Last Monday, Boone came up short against Windermere and fell 7-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost four in a row.

Collin Lock was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Boone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leyton Seidl, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Colonial fell victim to Freedom and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Patriots.

Colonial's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Boone, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Everything went Boone's way against Colonial in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Boone made off with a 13-5 win. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grenadiers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
