Baseball Recap: Lake-Lehman Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Lake-Lehman won the last time they faced Hanover Area and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights put the hurt on the Hawkeyes with a sharp 15-9 victory. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Chris Sholtis was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Scott Egbert also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lake-Lehman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hanover Area only managed seven hits.

Lake-Lehman has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Hanover Area, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
