Basketball Recap: Harrison's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Campbell the last time they met, Harrison decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Harrison Hoyas came out on top against the Campbell Spartans by a score of 46-38 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Hoyas sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Campbell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marlie Battle, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Battle has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Saniya Binion, who had nine points.

Harrison's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Campbell, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1.

Harrison and Campbell should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Harrison (ranked 48th) will meet South Cobb (ranked 318th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Campbell (ranked 24th) will meet Osborne (ranked 393rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
