Volleyball Recap: Menno Wolves vs. Freeman Flyers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Menno can now relate to. They fell just short of the Freeman Flyers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October.
Menno took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-12.
Even though they lost, Menno kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in September.
Menno's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Freeman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-16.
Menno does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freeman, they will square off against Parkston at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
