            Basketball Recap: Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters vs. George Washington Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            After only seven  points in their last  contest, Abraham Lincoln made sure to put some  points up on the board against George Washington  on Thursday. The Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters came out on top against the George Washington Eagles by a score of  64-55. The  victory almost wasn't to be: the Railsplitters were down  36-19 in the second  quarter.
 It was another big night for  Miguel Rosa Jr, who  posted 31 points.  Jayden Ortiz-Muhammad was another key player,  putting up ten  points.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jakai Stevenson, who  went 6 of 15  en route to 16 points. Those 16  points gave  Stevenson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Anderson Dorvil, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and 11  rebounds.
With the  win, Abraham Lincoln broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13. As for George Washington,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-9.
 Abraham Lincoln will square off against Benjamin Franklin at 4:30  p.m.  on February 6th. Benjamin Franklin will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Abraham Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight. As for George Washington, they and TECH Freire Charter will face off  at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday without much rest having both just played.
