Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 64-38 to the Field Kindley Golden Tornado. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Tornado this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-45 back in January.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-2. As for Field Kindley, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will welcome St. Mary's-Colgan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's-Colgan will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Independence surely won't give up without a fight. As for Field Kindley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Parsons.
