Basketball Recap: Bison Comes Up Short

Bison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. The contest between the Cardinals and the Jones County Coyotes didn't end well, with the Cardinals falling 64-48. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 53-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Bison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jones County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Bison and Jones County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cardinals see the court they'll take on Edgemont at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Jones County, their break will end when they face Dupree at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
