Basketball Recap: Clear Lake Takes a Loss

Clear Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 57-48 to the St. Helena Saints. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 830th, while the Saints are ranked 380th).

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for St. Helena, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Lake has already played their next game (against Fort Bragg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Helena is taking a road trip to face off against Cloverdale at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Helena's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
