Football Game Preview: Garfield G-Men vs. Southeast Pirates

The Garfield G-Men will challenge the Southeast Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Garfield's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Garfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 56-22 victory over Champion. The G-Men haven't had any issues with the Golden Flashes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Colton Miller and Devin Bates were among the main playmakers for Garfield as the former picked up 35 receiving yards and a pair of scores and the latter rushed for 35 yards and one touchdown. Those 35 receiving yards gave Miller a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Garfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 495 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Southeast fell victim to Crestview and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Rebels, falling 42-0. Having soared to a lofty 53 points in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Garfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Southeast, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Garfield against Southeast in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 win. Will the G-Men repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
