Elkhorn Valley comes up short despite Kellyn Ollendick's strong performance

The Elkhorn Valley Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The matchup between them and Cedar Catholic wasn't particularly close, with Elkhorn Valley falling 53-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Elkhorn Valley has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Elkhorn Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kellyn Ollendick. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dawson Hansen, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Elkhorn Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Cedar Catholic, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.
Elkhorn Valley will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Grand Island Central Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on February 10th. As for Cedar Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Battle Creek at 7:45 p.m.
