Baseball Game Preview: Technology Titans vs. Credo Gryphon

Technology is 2-8 against Credo since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Titans will take on the Gryphon at 4:00 p.m. Credo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Technology, who comes in off a win.

Technology not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 9th (when they won 10-1). They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Calistoga. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Damian Padilla was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. He has become a key player for Technology: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least ten strikeouts, but 3-7 otherwise. Padilla was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Caden Reiter was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Luca Reidy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Credo came up short against Willits on Friday, falling 14-4.

Credo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Swift, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Credo's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Technology, their record now sits at 5-8.

Technology couldn't quite get it done against Credo when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 9-6. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
