Scott entered their tilt with Wheatland-Grinnell on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Thunderhawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Beavers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Scott never let Wheatland-Grinnell on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23.
Peyton Gentry paced Scott's offense, picking up ten kills. Gentry got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her 14 assists. Wren also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Payson Campbell, each putting up three.
Scott's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Coincidentally, Scott and Wheatland-Grinnell will both be playing Thomas More Prep-Marian the next time they take the court. The Beavers will host the Monarchs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Thunderhawks will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
