Volleyball Recap: Cass Colonels vs. Cartersville Hurricanes
Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cartersville Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colonels of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.
After all that action, the final score was 25-5, 25-7.
Cartersville can attribute much of their success to Aubree Barrett, who had three aces and 11 assists.
Cass' loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cartersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Cass will square off against Dalton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cartersville, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Adairsville at 1:45 p.m.
