Baseball Recap: Germantown Academy Comes Up Short

Germantown Academy managed to slip by Episcopal Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots came up short against the Churchmen on Friday, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Germantown Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Episcopal Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7-1.

Looking ahead, Germantown Academy will head out on the road to square off against Archbishop Ryan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Raiders and Ragdolls will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Episcopal Academy, they will face off against St. Joseph's Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Churchmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
