Softball Recap: Midland Trail Patriots vs. James Monroe Mavericks
Midland Trail came out on top against James Monroe on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Patriots blew past the Mavericks 11-5. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Madison Rader made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Nevaeh Hall was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Abby Parcell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.
