Baseball Recap: Jonesboro-Hodge Comes Up Short

Jonesboro-Hodge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Lakeview Gators. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Gators from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Dakota Knox was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marquis Baker, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Jonesboro-Hodge's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lakeview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Jonesboro-Hodge will square off against Ringgold at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeview, they will face off against Castor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
