Basketball Game Preview: Glacier Peak Grizzlies vs. Lake Stevens Vikings

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies will face off against the Lake Stevens Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Glacier Peak is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Kentwood, who was ranked 21st at the time (Glacier Peak was ranked sixth). Glacier Peak was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 52-51 to Kentwood. The Grizzlies' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Lake Stevens got the win against Kamiak on Tuesday by a conclusive 55-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Lake Stevens' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Glacier Peak, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2.

Everything came up roses for Glacier Peak against Lake Stevens when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 73-46 victory. Does Glacier Peak have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake Stevens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
