Volleyball Recap: Iowa Colony Starts off Right with Win over Almeta Crawford

Iowa Colony gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Almeta Crawford Chargers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Iowa Colony was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-15.

Kendal White paced Iowa Colony's offense, picking up nine kills. White got some help from Breia Dixon and her 14 assists. Allison Salas controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Iowa Colony will take on Lake Travis in a tournament on Thursday. As for Almeta Crawford, they will venture away from home to challenge Aldine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
