Baseball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Rincon/University Rangers as they made off with a 24-1 win. That looming 24-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

Lincoln Miller made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is undefeated when Miller allowstwo or fewer earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Hunter Edmunds was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Cruz Corona was another key player, scoring four runs while going 1-for-2.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Rincon/University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
