There's no place like home for Foresthill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 44-12 win over the Encina Bulldogs. Considering the Wildfires have won four games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Foresthill had a senior duo take command as Vincent Navarro rushed for 267 yards and two TDs while picking up 15.7 yards per carry and David Silveria rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Those 267 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Navarro.

Foresthill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 475 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

One reason for the win was Foresthill's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 11 sacks. Abram Robenolt and Eli Selvester were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Robenolt has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times he's played. Another thorn in Encina's side was Caleb Anderson, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles.

Despite the loss, Encina still got an impressive performance from Da'Rontae Barnes, who rushed for 72 yards and one score on only five carries.

Foresthill's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.1 points on average over those games. As for Encina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Foresthill will look to defend their home field on Thursday against San Juan at 7:00 p.m. The Wildfires will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Encina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
