Basketball Game Preview: Orange Beach Makos vs. Satsuma Gators

The Orange Beach Makos will face off against the Satsuma Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Orange Beach was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-34 to St. Michael Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Makos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Cardinals are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, Satsuma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against St. Michael Catholic, falling 49-17. The game marked the Gators' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Satsuma's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Orange Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
