Volleyball Recap: Springer Comes Up Short

Springer lost against Elida back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Springer wouldn't go down easily and took Elida into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 27-29, 25-23, 12-25, 25-21, 15-6.

Brenna Duran paced Springer's offense, picking up 26 kills. Duran got some help from Abigail Eppler and her 38 assists. Duran was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Springer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Elida, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Springer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Grady on the 23rd. As for Elida, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Logan on the 23rd.
