Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bayfield). They put the hurt on the Alamosa Mean Moose with a sharp 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The Wolverines not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 6, 2024 (when they won 22-4).
Bayfield got a massive performance out of Isaac Forsythe, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Forsythe has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Micah Cornelia, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Bayfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win made it two in a row for Bayfield and bumps their season record up to 8-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Alamosa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
