Eastern Wayne unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Clinton Dark Horses on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-15, 25-2.

Jenna Jackson went supernova For Clinton., getting eight aces and three digs. The dominant performance also gave Jackson a new career-high in assists (22). Cameron Marshburn was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

The win made it two in a row for Clinton and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
