Baseball Game Preview: Mount Olive Marauders vs. Parsippany Hills Vikings

Mount Olive has gone 8-2 against Parsippany Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Marauders will venture away from home to challenge the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Mount Olive is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Mount Olive took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Morris Knolls, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Marauders had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 6-5 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Parsippany Hills came up short against Sparta on Thursday, falling 11-5. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Mount Olive's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Parsippany Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Mount Olive couldn't quite get it done against Parsippany Hills in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-7. Can the Marauders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
