Softball Recap: Granger Comes Up Short

Granger fell victim to Cyprus and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 20-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Granger saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylie Harper, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Granger's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cyprus, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granger will venture away from home to take on Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cyprus, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Jordan at 3:30 p.m. on the 15th.
