Basketball Game Preview: Plainfield South Cougars vs. DeKalb Barbs

The Plainfield South Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the DeKalb Barbs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Plainfield South came up short against Normal Community and fell 50-40. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DeKalb). They came out on top against South Elgin by a score of 50-39 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Barbs as they're now sitting on three straight.

DeKalb now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Plainfield South, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Plainfield South couldn't quite get it done against DeKalb in their previous matchup back in January as they fell 54-45. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
