Basketball Recap: Holt Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

After losing to Williamston the last time they met, Holt decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Holt Rams walked away with a 37-30 win over the Williamston Hornets on Tuesday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Hornets are ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holt's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Williamston, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Holt will square off against Portland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamston has already played their next game (against Fowlerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
