Basketball Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

South Point was the 51-49 winner over Ironton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The South Point Pointers fell 49-40 to the Ironton Fighting Tigers on Thursday.

South Point's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Ironton, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Point will venture away from home to face off against Wheelersburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ironton, they will head out on the road to challenge Chesapeake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
