Soccer Recap: Holt Comes Up Short

If Holt was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Fowlerville last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Grand Ledge Comets on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Holt can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Grand Ledge are ranked 47th).

Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Grand Ledge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-4 record this season.

Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grand Ledge, they will head out on the road to face off against East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
