Kenedy has gone 8-1 against Pettus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The last four games Kenedy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Kenedy took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Refugio, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Bobcats on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jaylen Rodriguez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Riana Aguirre, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Pettus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 23-4 to Skidmore-Tynan.

Pettus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Kenedy, their win bumped their record up to 15-10-1.

Everything went Kenedy's way against Pettus in their previous matchup back in March, as Kenedy made off with a 22-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
