Baseball Recap: Dunedin Takes a Loss

Dunedin was the 9-5 winner over Northside Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell 7-4 to the Mustangs on Thursday.

Madden James was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Matos, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Dunedin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Northside Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunedin will square off against Sickles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gryphons have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Northside Christian, they will take on Paul Laurence Dunbar at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
