Basketball Game Preview: Strasburg Rams vs. Clarke County Eagles

The Strasburg Rams will venture away from home to take on the Clarke County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Monday, Strasburg came up short against Skyline and fell 58-51. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Hawks are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Clarke County was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Fairfax 52-18. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Clarke County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Strasburg didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Clarke County in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strasburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
