Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bridgeport Central

Bridgeport Central won the last time they faced Greenwich and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hilltoppers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Hilltoppers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Bridgeport Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

Malik Denton paced Bridgeport Central's offense, picking up 29 kills. Denton got some help from Tin Nguyen and his 52 assists.

Despite the loss, Greenwich saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gabriel Lazo had 18 assists and six digs. Those 18 assists set a new season-high mark for Lazo.

Bridgeport Central's record is now 11-7. As for Greenwich, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
