Volleyball Recap: North Murray Comes Up Short

North Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Sonoraville Phoenix. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountaineers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Ella Headrick paced North Murray's offense, picking up four kills. Headrick got some help from Taylor Whaley and her seven assists. Whaley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

North Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sonoraville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

North Murray wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Dalton on the 14th. As for Sonoraville, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Adairsville on the 16th.
