Basketball Recap: Arabia Mountain Piles Up the Points Against Chamblee

Arabia Mountain won the last time they faced Chamblee and things went their way on Friday too. The Arabia Mountain Rams breezed past the Chamblee Bulldogs to the tune of 81-20. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

Arabia Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sha'Nya Heath, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Heath a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charmaine Owens, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten steals.

Arabia Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points over those games. As for Chamblee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Arabia Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-56 win against Lakeside on the 1st. As for Chamblee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-16 loss against Tri-Cities on the 1st.
