Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Gilbert

Gilbert proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lugoff-Elgin Demons 4-2. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory was the third in a row for Gilbert, bringing their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
