Baseball Recap: King & Queen Central Takes a Loss

King & Queen Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Charles City Panthers. The Royal Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

King & Queen Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Charles City, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, King & Queen Central will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mathews at 5:00 p.m. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Royal Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Charles City, they will challenge Middlesex at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
