Baseball Recap: River Valley Falcons vs. Placer Hillmen

River Valley extended their losing streak to 23 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-25 in the process. They came up short against the Placer Hillmen, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hillmen this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-2 loss on Wednesday.

River Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was GONZALO TAVARES, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Placer, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-12. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

On Placer's side, the team relied heavily on Devin Knight, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one double. Those four runs gave Knight a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Rogers, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
