After a string of three wins, South Effingham's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Brookstone Cougars.

South Effingham's loss came despite strong showings from Leah Magana and Destiny Young. Magana had 16 assists and seven digs, while Young had seven digs. Magana is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

South Effingham now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Brookstone, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, South Effingham will head out on the road to take on St. Vincent's at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookstone, they will host Lee County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
