Basketball Recap: Quincy Wins Going Away Against Union City

Quincy won the last time they faced Union City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Quincy Orioles took down the Union City Chargers 39-25.

Union City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nala Payne, who posted three points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played.

Quincy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points over those games. As for Union City, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.
