Baseball Recap: Lone Tree Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lone Tree had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Wapello Indians. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Indians back in May, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Lone Tree's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Wapello, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lone Tree will face off against rival Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wapello is set to take on their familiar foe Winfield-Mt. Union at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
