Softball Recap: Pike County Comes Up Short

Pike County and Straughn squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Pike County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Pike County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Straughn, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-18 record this season.
